Family History
West Country Ancestors offers you a complete research service from a single record to a full family history back to the early 1800's at modest cost. However pre-civil registration (1837) and the census (1841) makes earlier research more time consuming and therefore costly. Go to "Publication and you can see that there are many ways your family history can be attractively produced and shared with relatives around the world. It makes a great birthday or Christmas present. To save unecessary research time and cost our advice is as followa:-
- Talk to older members of the family. Ask them if they have any certificates, documents and of course photos. Record their memories of their early days. Example below.
- Has any one done some research into your family history in the past?
- Search your cupboards and drawers and the loft for old photos, albums, illustrations or Bible Inserts as below. They may help to uncover pictures of your family's past.
- Prepare your family tree as far back as memory or various documents will allow.

We shall do an initial FREE investigation
into the family line(s) you are interested in. We shall report back
to you about the possibilities and costs involved in doing a family
history. Research is usually carried out in 10 hour periods at £200+vat.
Within 10 hours we would normally produce a basic illustrated family
tree back to the early 19th century
